Rockingham is the newest circuit in the UK and is most well known for its banked oval speedway section.
It can be run in several configurations, and although challenging in places, runoff is good.

Several layouts are possible, as shown below.
(A) Oval - 1.479 miles;
(B) Int. Super Sports Car - 1.94 miles;
(C) Int. Super Sports Car Long - 2.05 miles;
(D) National Circuit 1.7miles.

I wasn't driving on this trackday as I was picking up my car from Lakeside following a head gasket repair. I stopped off on the way back to see what was going on and get a few passenger rides.

SELOC had a track day booked and then realised that it was Red Nose Day so decided to have a go at raising some money. In just under a week they were able to get people attending the track day to offer hot laps for the public, donate money for every mile driven on track as well as put on an auction and competition. This ended up being a great success with a sum of about £2,500 being raised.

As part of the goings on, Stripey Si agreed to wash his car (which hadn't been washed for at least a year) in just his boxer shorts:
