This group 6-carcar with a Chevrolet V8 mid-engine had a rear spoiler
originally twice as high as assembled here, but was lowered on safety grounds.

Lola replaced the aging T70 in 1968 with the T160. The T160 was developed throughout the season and in 1969 the developed T160 was dubbed T163. The T160 and T163 were competitive with podium finishes but they were no real challenge to the dominant orange McLarens and were not able to match the championship winning performance of the T70.
